Each person is born to be someone – themself. Over time this sense of self is molded by our lived experiences, relationships, and interactions. Sometimes we are molded to fit into a role or to fulfill someone else’s needs. It is this sense of losing ourselves that can lead to the challenges of anxiety, depression, emotional distress, and numerous other mental health concerns. As a result, I believe counseling is an essential part of life – a journey to finding the authentic self.

Sometimes it’s not one big thing, but the feeling that life has become heavier, more stressful, or harder to manage than it used to be. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply wanting a space to better understand yourself, I currently have openings for virtual and in-person therapy with adults (18+) across Ohio.
In therapy, we slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and focus on what actually helps in your day-to-day life. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care, with a focus on practical tools you can use outside of sessions to feel more steady and supported.

Therapy is a space to slow down, feel heard, and better understand yourself. I work with young adults navigating relationships, childhood trauma, life transitions, neurodivergence, emotion regulation, and the everyday stressors that can make life feel overwhelming. Together, we connect the puzzle pieces of your story and find strategies that work with—not against—who you are. I often think of it as different operating systems—some brains run on Apple iOS, others on PC. Neither is inherently better; they simply work differently. Understanding your unique operating system can be the beginning of meaningful change.

I work with people who have often been the “black sheep” or truth tellers in their families or communities, those labeled difficult or “too much” for speaking honestly about abuse, addiction, or dysfunction. Many come to therapy after years of feeling dismissed or misunderstood by family systems, institutions, or even previous therapists. My practice centers complex trauma and marginalized voices, including LGBTQIA+ clients, and focuses on helping people reconnect with their voice and sense of self.
