LCSW, trainer, activist, artist, lover of diversity, beauty, and possibility, I have worked with many of our community’s most vulnerable populations. Residential treatment with adjudicated adolescents, outpatient services to adults with substance use/mental health disorders. Designed/founded Arizona’s first bilingual DV program for Spanish speaking victims of intimate partner violence. In the early days of the AIDS crisis, initiated services to PLWA at Phoenix Shanti Group and for the next decade worked with an amazing team of activists at the Franciscan Renewal Center to coordinate and deliver emotional support weekend retreats.
I practice a holistic mind, body, and spirit system approach to individuals, couples, and families. Treatment strategies include EMDR, mindfulness, guided imagery, and DBT. I have trained nationally and taught at the university and community colleges in the areas of social work, addictions, co-dependency, AIDS and family systems.
I am an advocate for recovery in all areas of life, and believe that healing from the trauma of living is possible and can be joyful.
