Welcome. I know that deciding to seek professional help and finding the right therapist can be difficult. Having a good match between the therapist and the client is important in achieving the changes you want. To that end, here is some information regarding my work: I have had the privilege of working with teens, adults, and couples and have had success treating a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, relationship difficulties, grief and adjustment to life's changes. It is with warmth and compassion that I offer clients a safe place to talk, feel and explore.
I believe that an interactive, collaborative process that examines your feelings, your experiences, your choices and the origins of patterns we might identify will provide you with an understanding of yourself. Ultimately, it can give you control over yourself and your future choices. No longer constrained by your past, you are free.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and I have both studied and later on taught in different programs at the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis, focusing on Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
