My ideal client understands that they need a seasoned and perceptive counselor to walk with them in their issues which usually stem from challenging relationships. These could include processing anxiety, depression, marital issues, loss & grief, aging, sexual dysfunction or addiction, life transitions, and navigating the challenges from adolescence all the way through to senior adulthood. My clients are seeking help with today and hope for tomorrow. I work with church hurt issues both for church professionals as well as participants. My hope is to see clients flourish when they feel stuck, and to live life to the fullest!
I work within a Restoration Therapy model that highlights the pain cycles we all enter into and the way out through changes in thinking patterns based on truth. I employ reality therapy and choice theory within the goals that each client brings into the therapy process. I enjoy work with individuals and couples who are stuck, need new perspective, or hope.
My experiences of over 35 years of working with adolescents, college students, young adults, and married couples within a Christian ministry context allow me to work with those who seek spiritual clarity as well as those who have a secular perspective.
