I'm currently using both in-person and telehealth counseling with my clients in Oklahoma. I am currently taking new clients. My goal is for clients to finish counseling feeling heard, cared for and loved. Sometimes stress and trauma can be made worse by our own beliefs. Therapy can help identify and correct those harmful thoughts and false beliefs. Caring friends have helped my family and me to face life's biggest challenges. In thirty-three years of individual & family counseling, I treat stress and psychological injuries, called invisible wounds (I'm a combat veteran). I treat anxiety, depression, and anger, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to calm/reprogram the nervous system, reducing your stressed thinking. Marriage and family therapy help rebuild communication bridges.
Along with my master's and 33 years of counseling experience, I completed my Ph.D. in Psychology, on August 21, 2017. My published dissertation was on combat-related PTSD among veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq.
