About
I am a compassionate humanist grounded in science and research. I don’t judge, condemn, or rate anyone. Instead, I unconditionally accept all people and encourage them to find new ways to approach life with a minimum of fear and turmoil. I studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with its developer, Dr. Albert Ellis, with whom I have written 3 books and numerous articles. My work includes authoring 5 books, 6 book chapters, and 16 journal articles, I am a Professor in NYU’s MA program, and I am an examiner for psychologists seeking board certification.
Over the past 35 years, I have had satisfactory results in helping people tolerate the inevitable fears of life and the pain of depressed moods. I have also helped people who have not been able to fully apply their talents or express their sexuality. My dedication includes guiding other therapists with my books that advocate tolerance and acceptance.
I have dedicated my life to the science and practice of psychology. My greatest joy is helping people to successfully navigate through their adversities. I deeply care about the people in my life and that includes those people who entrust me to help them.
