Have you hit a wall with your mental health? Are you tired of talking in circles with a therapist who doesn't understand you? My name is Mikayla, and I've lived in and around DC for over 22 years. I provide holistic therapy for individuals and couples, with and without ketamine. My primary areas of focus are harm reduction-based therapy for people who use drugs, PTSD/trauma, and mood disorders. I also work with couples struggling to resolve & repair conflict, including those in non-monogamous relationships. Our mental and physical health are inseparable, but stress and trauma fragment our sense of self, experiences, and memories. I help clients re-integrate their mind-body systems by weaving many perspectives - embodied mindfulness, liberation psychology, somatics, trauma-informed care, polyvagal theory, education, harm reduction, and relational therapy.
I love working with people who feel frustrated with conventional approaches and are ready to try something new. Above all, I believe you have the capacity to heal.
