Hello, my name is Mikayla, founder and owner of Coastal Growth Counseling, PLLC. I have over 2 years of experience counseling individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries and stroke(including individuals with language disorders), in individual, group, and family settings. Prior to pursuing my counseling career, I was an art teacher in a Title 1 public middle school, this time overlapped with the COVID-19 epidemic. My background gives me a unique skillset that intertwines creativity, compassion, empathy, and strategy to support others meaningfully in their journey; struggles and successes.
I support individuals navigating life’s hardest transitions and the impact of complex trauma. Healing comes in waves, and with compassionate, evidence-based care, we’ll build safety, resilience, and self-trust together.
