Hi there, I'm Mikaela! My identity and passion in my career have centered on being present during people’s hardest moments and providing support as they recognize their strength within themselves and their community. Making your brain and body home again requires permission to grieve, release, & restore pieces of who you are; you are worth every ounce of effort it takes to get there. I will say this to any client - I use a human-first approach, before any diagnosis or label, you deserve goodness simply because of your pulse. I am glad you are here.
This is a partnership we get to create, so I initially help clients identify what their goals are, long-term and short-term. After understanding where we are, I tend to work towards establishing trust and safety in the space, so clients feel like they can unmask and be fully human. As your body, brain, and mind feel safer working together.
My communication style tends to be gentle in tone and direct in nature; I am passionate about not wasting your time or money (looking for a therapist and having to re-explain yourself is exhausting).
