Hi, my name is Miguel. I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, came of age in New York City, and served in the US Army for several years. I am a clinician and educator, and credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (Maryland), Licensed Professional Counselor (Virginia), and a National Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC). In addition, I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.
I work with people from diverse backgrounds and collaborate with them to understand the causes of their difficulties and to develop their own solutions. My clients include veterans, responders, adults, and families. Areas of interest include crisis, suicide, post-traumatic stress, psychotic disorders, depression, and anxiety.
