Hello! I work with individuals and couples making their way through tough situations. My goal is to support your most authentic well-being; helping you reclaim your essential self by examining beliefs that can lock in difficult relationship dynamics and constrain your deepest longings, guiding the process of peacefully resolving inner conflict you may experience, and supporting your personal growth through challenging times.

I come from a diverse background in education, personal experience, and training. I fully believe in treating the whole person in order to address the presenting problem. My approach comes from such therapy styles to include CBT, DBT, Rogerian, EMDR, ACT, CCPT, Filial therapy, and the work of Gottman. I try to meet each client where they are when we start our work together and believe the client is the expert on themselves. I hope to be able to offer insight, education, and intervention to all clients and am continually seeking new research and training to add to my repertoire.

As a born and raised Alaskan I am dedicated to providing high quality mental health care to young people in our community. I work with Adolescents (13-17) and young adults (18-30) from various backgrounds supporting them with self-compassion, emotional resilience, identity empowerment and connection to self. As we walk alongside each other on this path I will support you in accepting, embracing and nurturing even the most challenging parts of self. I have a depth of experience working with grief, intergenerational trauma, trauma, sports performance anxiety, depression, anxiety, ADHD, power and oppression, and behavioral issues.

I am the Agency Psychologist for the Center for Systematic Therapy and Research Services (CSTARS). I work full-time after a career in research (University of Washington 1987-2004) and faculty appointment (John's Hopkins, Department of Mental Health [2004-2007]). I currently focus on directing two clinical programs with Clinical Director Melissa Byrd: 1) Relapse Prevention for advanced recovery in addiction and codependency (Group and Individual), 2) Sexual Victimization recovery from childhood and young adult PTSD (Group and Individual). I conduct neurodevelopmental assessments for Dr. Stumme-Parks' work with CSTARS' ADHD clients.
