Life's transitions can be challenging. Contemplating change requires courage and has the potential to be rewarding. I strive to develop an environment built upon confidentiality and respect. People seek me out for counseling for many reasons, including: Identifying ways to experience more enjoyment and security in life, the challenges of life's transitions, relationship struggles, addressing addictions and other unhealthy lifestyles, depression and anxiety.
Relationships are the foundation of my work. In order for success to occur in therapy a trusting relationship must exist. My approach has been highly influenced by my 6 years of experience in wilderness therapy. I take a person centered approach to my work with trans folx, people in transitions and teens.
I use a variety of approaches to assist others in moving through challenges. These include creative art therapies, CBT, walking/hiking and movement. Improvement in symptoms and wellness is the goal of therapy. Approaching health holistically incorporates emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological health.
