I am Michelle Thurman, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, CMHS, MHP) and the founder of Clarity Within Counseling. I’ve spent years walking alongside people through trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, relationship pain, and major life transitions. My work is grounded in an integrative approach that blends Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based practices, and CBT/ACT/DBT strategies. I especially love working with those who are drawn to understanding themselves more deeply. At the heart of my practice is a belief that healing happens when we stop fighting ourselves and start listening.
I offer a collaborative space where all parts of you are welcome—even the messy or stuck ones. Using IFS, we’ll listen for what your symptoms are trying to express, and gently build a more honest, caring relationship with yourself. I will guide—not direct—and support you in building a relationship with yourself that’s rooted in honesty, courage, and care.
