Hi there! My name is Michelle Settergren and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Huntington Beach, providing teletherapy services across California. I've worked in various healing capacities for over 12 years and believe we all have the potential to be self-healers. I'm gender and LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I specialize in working with adults who've suffered from trauma/PTSD, first responder/military trauma, anxiety/social anxiety/agoraphobia, depression, personality disorders, panic disorders, communication issues, addiction, and identity confusion.
I work with adults 18+ and have treated an array of conditions including PTSD/Acute Stress Disorder, generalized and social anxiety, major depression/dysthymia, personality disorders, gender dysphoria, panic disorder and agoraphobia, and addiction.
My style is very comfortable and informal. I think the best work happens when there's a sense of comfort and safety and an opportunity for authentic connection. I'm a believer in transparency and provide feedback and observations often.
