I don’t believe the purpose of therapy is to learn how to cope with the trauma, stress, and chronic dysregulation, as most of us have already spent a great deal of time and energy figuring out how to do that. Therapy should engage the mind-body connection in supporting any blockages that are preventing the joy, love, peace, and rest from being experienced.
