Psychologist, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA
As both a licensed psychologist and BCBA, I specialize in the treatment of challenging behavior, anxiety and stress management, and skills training. I work with children and adolescents who are experiencing behavioral difficulties such as noncompliance, aggression, and off-task behavior at school and/or home, and have specific expertise working with individuals on the autism spectrum. I provide parent training for families looking to create a consistent and positive environment in the home. I use a two-prong approach to behavior management: decrease interfering behavior while teaching adaptive functional behavior such as coping skills, social skills, and organization skills.
I work with children through adults in managing anxiety and stress. Whether someone is overwhelmed by the daily grind or consumed by a stressful life event, we identify common triggers and break unproductive response patterns. I guide people toward solutions to overcome and cope with the obstacles in everyday life.
I believe in solution-focused therapy (ABA, CBT, and ACT) where the goals are measurable and the intervention is research-based. Your values will directly impact the development of these goals and we will review progress at scheduled points to ensure you are comfortable and benefiting from the therapeutic process.

Dr. Pesca is one of the most talented clinicians I have had the pleasure to work with. She balances strong technical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice with caring and warmth for her clients. Dr. Pesca is both a skilled psychologist and behavior analyst and expertly combines skills in both areas for the benefit of her clients.
