The wounds left by grief, traumatic grief, and loss are painful and often overwhelming. I know; I've been there more than once. I've also supported many other people as they've tended to these similar wounds. I've been a clinical social worker for over 20 years, and my passion and expertise are in helping people rebuild their lives after grief and/or trauma. While my approach is always client-centered, my philosophy is rooted in the unwavering belief in the strength of the human spirit. I approach the work from a trauma-centered cognitive behavioral perspective and use the philosophy of growing around grief to guide my work.

I work with adolescents, young adults, and full-grown adults on issues related to grief, loss, traumatic grief, secondary/vicarious trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. My intention is to create a nurturing environment that fosters hope, self-discovery, and self-acceptance. I've been told my style is a mix of kind, thoughtful, funny, & direct.

If you’re looking for someone to fix you, I’m probably not the therapist for you because I believe that either all of us or none of us is in need of fixing. Life is hard. Loving is hard.
