Hi, I am Michelle Nedwek, an LMFT in the states of Oregon and California. So glad you're here! I strive to be client-centered and compassionate, while empathizing with my clients, and encouraging them. When it will be helpful, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for implementing changes and helping clients progress more quickly. Sometimes I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This is to help clients understand their values and what is important to them, as well as identify the systems we are living within. I enjoy helping clients reach their goals, and get their self-confidence and passion for life back!
I help my clients succeed in their goals, and I value building a genuine working relationship with them. People I work well with are 20's, 30's 40's and 50's, people who are navigating life changes or career changes, and people wishing to build up their self-confidence and self-efficacy. I also welcome people relating to song lyrics, movies, and Broadway!
I strive to be a warm, friendly, relaxed therapist. I want people to feel comfortable to be themselves, and truly look forward to their therapy sessions! I model being authentic and demonstrate emotional regulation, and hope people leave the session feeling like things are going to turn out ok.
