The idea that sustainable happiness is an attainable goal, is a tricky one. It's that thing we say to ourselves: "if I just (do this) then I will be happy ...or if they just (do this) then I'll be happy." I prefer the idea of moving or daily energy toward being more content. Isn't content what we feel when we are comfortable, calm, and able to feel good in our skin, & our world? Often, if not almost always, we have traumas (big or small) and mean/sad/negative inner voices and thoughts that, if we process through then with the right therapeutic treatment modalities, we can get to our contentedness.
I specialize in problems that show up based in anxiety and the many ways it can affect our thoughts, actions, and the people around us. Symptoms such as racing thoughts, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts, unwanted behaviors, negative self-talk, unexplained physical pain, problems falling and staying asleep, and traumatic flash backs are anxiety based.
I'm not great at returning calls mostly because I only love talking on the phone to about 4 people, so if you would like to reach out please send me an email. I know that doesn't work the best for everyone, but learning to ask for the right supports starts with an example of it.
