I am Dr. Michelle Linquist and I am excited about the possibility of working with you! I obtained my Doctoral Degree in clinical psychology at Pepperdine University, and I have been licensed since 2017. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Jerry L. Pettis VA in Loma Linda, CA where I worked with veterans with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse problems. I accrued my post-doctoral training through California Parenting Institute in Santa Rosa and St. John's Program for Real Change in Sacramento. This training afforded me the opportunity to work with families and homeless women with a variety of mental health problems.
I provide psychological assessment for children, adolescents, and adults for disorders such as ADHD, Learning Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, Personality Disorders, and Neurocognitive Disorders. I also conduct therapy with adults and couples from a combined Humanistic-Existential and Cognitive-Behavioral perspective.
I approach therapy with empathic understanding while stressing the importance of change, personal responsibility, and acceptance. Change is difficult and scary at times, but a necessary part of positive growth and healing. I hope that my background and qualifications are consistent with your needs, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
