I offer support and insight for dealing with life's struggles, assisting in turning challenges into growth opportunities. With over 20 years experience. I have expertise in treating individuals who struggle with addictions, eating disorders, relationship issues, and traumatic experiences. Whether you work individually, as a family, or in one of my on-going groups, you have the support and encouragement you deserve. Therapy is about finding the support to help you bridge where you are now and the ability to take the steps you need to become the person you want to become.
I never underestimate the process of finding a therapist that is the right "fit" for you. I have an interactive style that is always compassionate and sometimes slightly challenging; giving you the support you need and the motivation to help you move in the direction of your dreams.
Our offices provide a safe, confidential, environment in which concerns may be explored. I bring over two decades of clinical experience to my work. Our offices are accessible by public transportation and major highways. I have several professional publishing credits and my work has earned several distinguished awards.

Michelle L Dean's Groups

Groups for Girls & Women with Eating Concerns

You are not alone. Emotional eating is a common problem, which may indicate dissatisfaction and frustration from unfulfilled aspects of personal life. If you find yourself returning to the cupboard multiple times, you may wish to ask, "What is my hunger really about?" Oftentimes, food can act as a replacement for love, desire, unrealized dreams, and other protective and numbing measures. Discover a new relationship with yourself through creative expression and develop connections that are affirming. The use of art, creative writing, and dialog within a confidential group context uniquely honors each participant. Commitment to 15-week session required.
