I meet each client, couple, or family where they are. I view counseling as a process in which I align with clients in focusing on their strengths to help them initiate and maintain change in their lives. Further I value the cultural elements that often interacts with day-to-day client concerns.

When counseling children and adolescents, I use cognitive-behavioral, reality, expressive arts, and narrative approaches to facilitate the exploration of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors from a neuroscience informed perspective. In working with adults, I typically use humanistic, narrative, and cognitive approaches to help clients gain new perspectives.

If we enter a professional counseling relationship, we will work together to identify your counseling goals. We will reexamine and evaluate those goals periodically. When necessary, we will adjust counseling goals to ensure that you are getting the most out of the counseling process.
