Talk therapy can be helpful, but sometimes it's just not enough. Maladaptive patterns of stress, trauma, anxiety, and depression lie in our bodies. You and I will untangle these problematic patterns to get to the root of your pain together. Our sessions will allow you to metaphorically dip your toe into the pain and then always come back to safety. In this way you are challenged to grow in a slow, safe manner.
I specialize in working with stress, anxiety, and people pleasing, that has persisted despite past treatment. IFS, Somatic Experiencing, and Tension/Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) are three somatic modalities I have extensive experience providing. Using my intuition to guide me, I also employ cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and creative methods.
An intuitive, nurturing, and supportive manner are some of my strengths that create a safe space for healing as you develop self-compassion and acceptance. Employing humor and lightheartedness works as a balance as we process the deeper emotions. Together, we'll develop a path so you can navigate life's transitions with more ease and acceptance.

Groups
IFS Healing Circle
In person group for Women starting April 17 6-7:30 PM for 6 weeks. Our group is designed to explore connection to ourselves and others through the lens of Internal Family systems - IFS. We'll explore our Parts using: Meditation, Journaling, Parts mapping, Dyads, Large group activities and IFS sculpting. Some experience or knowledge of IFS is required before joining the group. It is recommended that you have participated in IFS therapy or have gained a basic understanding of Parts and Self. A consultation with Michelle George is required before applying to determine if this group is the right fit for you.
