Hi, I'm Michelle England (She/Her), a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I believe that, no matter how challenging life may become, we all have the capacity to tap into our inner strength and make positive, healthy choices to improve our well-being. My approach to therapy is client-centered: I listen deeply to understand your unique experiences, and together, we work to enhance the quality of your life.
The modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD (CPT for PTSD), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and, when in-person sessions are available, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
During our first session, my primary goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and concerns. I will work to earn your trust by actively listening, showing empathy, and being fully present to the best of my ability.
