Hi there, I’m Michelle! I am a Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in working with teens, young adults, couples, and families. My clients often need help with anxiety and stress, depression, life transitions, perfectionism, spiritual and faith issues, and Asian American issues. I am passionate about helping clients transform their relationships with others and themselves. In our sessions, we’ll work towards developing skills and resilience to cope with life’s challenges and fostering a deeper understanding of your thoughts and behaviors. Together, we will uncover the potential for joy and growth within you.
I strive to provide a therapy space of safety, compassion, and support. Humor and play are essential to everyday life and you’ll find it in my therapeutic practice too. My work incorporates Restoration Therapy, CBT, and Play Therapy, EMDR, and I deeply value client input and collaboration. I am a certified in Prepare/Enrich (a couples assessment).

Teen Connection Process Group
Is your teen feeling isolated or overwhelmed? The Teen Connection Process Group offers high school students a safe and supportive space to share experiences, build connections, and better understand themselves and others. Guided by therapist Michelle Emery-Xu, LMFT, the group explores challenges such as academic pressure, social dynamics, family relationships, identity, and worries about the future. Teens will strengthen communication skills, ability to manage emotions, navigate life challenges, and reduce feelings of isolation.
