To me, therapy is about the relationship that forms/exists between therapist and client. The relationship is the key to a client working toward identifying and honoring their most authentic self. There are many skills, techniques, worksheets, etc, that can be used during therapy, but without a solid therapeutic “alliance” therapy is doomed to end poorly or prematurely.
I am committed to providing high quality therapy services to adolescents, adults and seniors. I am committed to working with you to identify what it is that is most important to you and work with you in whatever manner is most appropriate to YOUR situation.
My approach can be described as “soulful,” “validating,” and “gentle.” But this does not mean that I won’t push you, nudging you as needed to help you meet your treatment objectives.
My counseling methods focus on developing connection, communication, and self-empowerment. I aspire to learn from my clients as much as I aid them on their journeys.
I look forward to integrating my Orthodox Christian faith into the therapeutic process when and where appropriate. I will, however, remain sensitive to each client’s right to choose the level of interest in this approach. Your cultural, religious and/or spirituality orientations will be discussed at our first session.
I look forward to working with you!
