As human beings, we all have a deep need for connection within ourselves and with others. Connection can be challenged and disrupted by experiences throughout our lives. This disconnection can lead to anxiety, poor coping skills, depression, big emotions, substance use, frustration, shame, and many other dis-eases. The good news is that we all have the potential to reconnect and heal. My approach to therapy involves guiding you in reconnection to your authentic Self, your body, and the present moment through compassionate listening, non-judgement and curiosity.
Since 2001, I have provided therapy, assessment, care coordination, and crisis services to our community. I believe in evidence-based approaches and therapies to promote healing, well-being, insight, and confidence in our capacity for growth and change. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, person-centered and strengths-based perspectives.
The single most important thing that I have learned in my 20+ year career is that we all have limitless potential to heal and recover. I deeply believe in your capacity to do so, that this capacity already resides within you, and that you can reconnect with your Self to live your best life.
