I work with individuals and families who have experienced trauma, whether from a single event or a series of distressing experiences. Trauma often disrupts daily life in various ways. Sometimes the impact is more noticeable, such as avoiding places associated with the trauma, while at other times it is more subtle, like persistent feelings of unease, difficulty focusing, or challenges in relationships. Many people affected by trauma hope to forget these painful experiences and move forward, seeking healing and resolution.
What we know about trauma is that, while it’s natural to want to avoid thinking about the event or events, our minds and bodies benefit from addressing them in a safe, trauma-informed environment. This doesn’t mean clients are expected to recount every detail of what happened. Rather, we work toward healing together, gently confronting the trauma’s impact.
I have had the honor of working with many individuals and families who have experienced trauma and have witnessed their healing. I use a blend of evidence-based approaches, such as EMDR, TF-CBT, and DBT. I hold deep hope for individuals who have experienced trauma and believe that together we can create new paths forward. I look forward to talking with you.

I work with clients who have experienced difficult life events. In our early sessions, we will get to know each other and work together to make a plan of how we can start to create change. Healing looks different for everyone, but some commons themes from my clients are: acceptance of themselves and their experiences, feelings of empowerment, and a sustainable reduction in their negative emotions.

Each client is different, but I do follow a similar process. During our first session, I'll get to know you and explore what brought you to therapy. By the third session, I have started to identify what treatments may be appropriate for your individual or family's needs. This is always a partnered process, I do this with your knowledge and input. Together we will work toward sustainable change.
