I have been practicing individual, couples, and family therapy for 30 years. I am owner and clinical director of Lighthouse Integrative Counseling Services, PLLC, where it is our mission to provide high-quality mental health services that are affordable and accessible. The extensive training I have had in treating children and teens with a variety of problems has taught me that young people experience stress and conflict differently than adults and that they may require special attention. Therapy can help by building on strengths they already possess, and teach problem solving and increasing coping skills.
I use play therapy and sandplay techniques with clients of all ages to facilitate communication of thoughts and feelings in a non-threatening way. This is particularly helpful with clients who are uncomfortable talking or those who have experienced abuse and/or trauma.
