Whether it's individual, couples, or group therapy, I strive to be a therapist who is challenging and direct without being judgmental; is open-minded and encouraging of my clients to explore options in their lives that may be different than my own or others around them. I am someone who doesn't rush to diagnose and pathologize, but rather to understand. And specifically and most importantly, I have a keen understanding of the intricacies of intimacy and sexuality within relationship to oneself and their chosen community.
Extensive training: Attachment based Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My specialties include Couples Therapy, Attachment-based Trauma, and Sexuality/Intimacy struggles. My doula background enhances my knowledge of the journey and transition in pregnancy and postpartum.
My priority is to create a practice that is flexible and meets the individual needs of the clients I work with. I work with clients individually, in couples, or in groups, and offer flexible scheduling, pricing, and modes of communication including video sessions, phone coaching, email and text communication.

Michelle Bloom's Groups

Motherhood Circle

This group is geared toward expectant mothers and/or new mothers. This group is different than a typical 'new mom's group;" because its orientation is around the psycho-emotional challenges that come with the journey of mother. This group is an opportunity to share your thoughts and feeling around this life transition, body image, work stress, your relationship to your partner, sexuality, and anxiety around navigating your health and the health of your family so that you can love and enjoy mothering.

Women's Group

This group is geared toward all women looking to join a tribe of like-minded females to work on their own personal journeys in the witness of others. Women who believe that we must live into ourselves fully and with others fully in order to belong to ourselves and to each other.
