Is your young child struggling right now? Are you finding therapy costs to be unaffordable? I am a child, adolescent, and family therapy intern completing my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I specialize in working with children ages 3 to 13 and have over 14 years experience working with children in a variety of educational settings, preschool through middle school. My experiences teaching Kindergarten and 4th grade have especially equipped me with skills to help serve children struggling with school-related issues, ADHD, anxiety, and OCD. I am happy to provide therapy for an out-of-pocket fee of $40 or less.
I also lived overseas for many years and am passionate about working with multicultural populations, children in foster care, and children who have been adopted. In my therapy room I seek to create a safe and trusting counseling relationship with both the child and the caregivers. I am passionate about play therapy and utilizing play and art interventions.
You will find that I also draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), ERP, and attachment skills to help improve child and family mental health. I know that every child and family is unique and I am comfortable adjusting my approaches based on the developmental age of the child and the specific needs of the family.
