I am a licensed clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist . I have over 30 years of experience across a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment for children and adolescents and group homes for adjudicated youth. Years ago I was also a teacher and special education director. I spent the last 17 years working in community mental health with children, adolescents and adults and also with adults in the prison system. In November 2015 I opened Palo Santo Psychotherapy and Wellness and realized my dream of working in a wellness setting with like-minded clinicians.
I love working with a wide variety of clients. My specialties are depression, anxiety, parent effectiveness, couples and family therapy and child/adolescent behavior problems. I particularly enjoy working with all clients around life challenges - life coaching. I am a long time meditator and often use mindfulness and other holistic techniques with clients.
Life is like a roller coaster. Our challenge is to enjoy each turn, find excitement in each downhill and find the lesson in the uphills.
