I help clients with behavioral and relationship issues caused by trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress, or substance use/misuse. I create a calm, welcoming and comfortable environment for my clients to foster the type of therapeutic alliance which encourages them to share their feelings and thoughts openly. For me, the work accomplished during sessions should provide clients with the skills they can then exercise outside of sessions. My approach is based on a holistic view of the client enriched by a trauma-informed care lens.
I facilitate my clients’ pursuit of keener insight into their circumstances as they explore different perspectives and sharpen their self-awareness. I accompany my clients on an empowering journey toward resolution of personal issues and more serene self-reflection.
Working with diverse populations has taught me that each person presents with unique circumstances and challenges, and that some therapeutic approaches might work better for some clients than for others. It is with this in mind that my work follows treatment plans developed in collaboration with and tailored to each client's specific needs.
