I deeply respect a person who makes that call to request professional help, and walks through my door for the first time. It takes courage, and our culture does not often make it easy to access to mental health services. We are emotional, relational, resilient creatures, and sometimes we need another skilled person to help us move forward in life. My experience in outpatient and inpatient mental health settings, as well as medical/rehabilitation settings, has equipped me with solid skills to treat most mental health and relational problems.
