I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with 20+ years of experience. I'm based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and work via telehealth statewide with a variety of people from late adolescents to elders. I'm genuinely interested in people and learning about the lives, thoughts, and emotional experiences of others. I specialize in anxiety, stress management, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, PTSD, substance use/abuse, and co-dependence.
My approach to therapy depends on the needs of the individual client. I use an attachment-based lens with clients and may use a somatic (body-centered) approach when treating stress and trauma. For anxiety and depression, we may utilize Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to reduce thought patterns that aren't helpful.
My communication style is warm and interesting. I'm open-minded and strive to listen without judgment. I work to create an environment in which my clients feel heard and comfortable being open with me. I will also give you the honest feedback you deserve from a therapist.
