I'm Michele Summers, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a deep commitment to supporting parents and adolescents. With over 20 years of experience with adolescents in school settings, residential settings and those placed through the child welfare system. I have a deep understanding of adolescents and family systems. I have helped hundreds of families who once felt hopeless and disconnected from their children, reunite and build long lasting relationships and healthy familial bonds.
Helping teens, young adults and parents is my passion. I'm a Certified Family Reunification Specialist who is dedicated to ensuring families never get to the point of giving up hope and feeling helpless when it comes to their child. My sessions are tailored around my client's needs and availability (in-person/virtual).
I connect with teens on their level using interactive techniques - games, drawing, visualization, breathing/tapping exercises or sitting in the dark. With warmth, empathy and authenticity, I create a therapeutic relationship that helps my clients feel safe to open up and allow healing to begin.
