My name is Michele Sweeney, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, using Tele-Therapy for the state of Michigan. It has been my life's work to establish therapeutic alliances with those afflicted with emotional health challenges, alcohol or substance use, relationship challenges, and daily struggles. I work with individuals and couples. I use a "case-by-case" approach. I prefer to work with those who are ready to make some changes in their lives. I am most comfortable working with individuals and couples.
I consider communication more valuable than money. I prefer open lines of communication and will do whatever I can to help when communicated with. I like to provide a safe space to share feelings and provide empowerment, validation, and unconditional understanding.
I like to provide person-centered treatment planning, so the goals are directly from the client, speaking to their specific needs. I prefer to utilize as much of the client's verbiage when creating goals and objectives. I want you to feel in charge of your treatment and your life, as much as possible.
