I typically use an eclectic approach which means I pull through a variety of theories to help each individual meet their goals in the way that works best for them. However, main ways of thinking that I tend to lean towards are: compassion-focused, psychodynamic, attachment styles, and emotion-focused.
The process of healing isn't easy, which is why I always aim to provide a safe place for clients as we work together to bring change and take steps toward growth. My approach leans toward being more direct and inquisitive. I also give homework at times to further growth outside of sessions.
