Welcome, if you're here because everything feels overwhelming right now, and you find yourself unable to turn your thoughts off or shutting down often, then together we can work on making your thoughts and emotions feel more manageable. Maybe, right now grief, anxiety, or depression are really loud, and we need to work together to make them feel less intimidating. We can also work on communication skills, relationship patterns, setting boundaries (knowing when to say no or when to push yourself), and helping you recover from and managing burn-out so that you don't feel trapped to keep pouring from an empty cup.
Main ways of thinking that I lean towards are: compassion-focused, psychodynamic, attachment styles, and emotion-focused. I've been described by clients as having a positive unconditional regard, direct, and being able to challenge them to help take steps toward growth. I've also had my clients enjoy adding Brainspotting to their sessions!
My goal is to create a place where you can feel seen, safe, challenged, and supported, so that we can create lasting change. My approach leans toward being more direct and inquisitive, making sure any challenging is done with compassion. I also give homework at times to further growth outside of sessions.
