I am a mental health therapist licensed with a master's degree in Michigan with over 25 years of experience working as a crisis intervention and clinical social worker. I have worked with adult clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, homelessness, domestic violence, grief/loss, emotional abuse, and career challenges. My therapy style is personable, genuine, and interactive. I believe in treating my clients and anyone with kindness, respect, and attentiveness. My therapeutic approach combines cognitive, motivational interviewing, and patient-centered techniques. I do not believe in stigmatizing labels.
I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, and motivational interviewing to help you identify and reshape unhealthy thought patterns. This approach is hands-on and gives you tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors, and, essentially, you develop healthy thought patterns.

I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic partner.
