Michele Lucas Lcsw Bcd, MSW, LCSW, BCD, MSWAC, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Norwalk
Dr Karl Menninger said, "Love cures people - both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it." This reflects my reason for becoming a psychotherapist. I am familiar with being the client, and the difficult work of transforming from who I was into who I am today. I know from those experiences, how important it is to create a welcoming and compassionate environment for those who choose to undertake this work for their own personal growth. I am truly blessed to share in the life of another in this mystical way, and cherish the opportunity to do so.
The foundation of my approach is spiritual. I believe in a spiritual energy at our core that guides and organizes us. The myriad modalities I've learned also reflect this belief. After addressing my own healing, I sought to bring my experience and clinical expertise to others through my psychotherapy practice.
My heart is in my work. I genuinely care about the people I work with, and I try to be my best and do my best on their behalf. This requires that I go to my own therapy and clinical supervision regularly, and that I continue learning my craft.
