Life can throw a lot at us on any given day. Sometimes we can be overwhelmed by the chaos of the world, by the marginalization inflicted by systemic policies and institutions, or by our own internal conflicts. Embracing change and growth can define a path forward and allow hope to be our guide to wellness. The power to heal ourselves lies in empowerment AND advocacy. We must acknowledge both the impact of external factors rooted in the world and in the internalization of suffering and trauma.
I believe that we are all capable of healing through relationship. Recognizing the impact of the past on our present and coming to an understanding of how old thought patterns keep us stuck are pathways to internal growth. Defining our identities helps us to be grounded in our well-being. Establishing a healthy relationship with self is the first step.
I am passionate about using a person-centered approach to create an environment where compassion, empathy, and non-judgement are valued and practiced. The therapy hour is a powerful opportunity to be seen, heard, and validated. I am particularly interested in helping clients navigate life transitions, process trauma, and find meaning in their experiences.
