My mission is to provide you with an individualized quality of care by spending time getting to know you and your unique situation before working together to find solutions. I will empower you to overcome your personal obstacles with a compassionate, empathetic, and respectful approach. I am an active therapist; combining experience, education, creativity and sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.
Rather than adopting only one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods that are most effective for each individual and situation. I am experienced with a variety of mental health issues and will cooperatively assist you in clarifying your goals for treatment.
I have successfully worked with a diversity of clients and issues since 2006 using clinically tested and evidenced-based interventions. Professional Connections

I have personally and professionally known Michele Purvin for over 10 years. We worked together at Alcohol and Addiction treatment center serving adolescents and their families. I hope my perspective will be helpful to you as you evaluate this exceptional Psychotherapist. During our time together, I have observed and families have reported having a compassionate and empathic therapeutic relationships with Michele that have allowed them to make tremendous progress towards healing. Most of the families come from a variety of backgrounds, there were often in conflict, occasionally reluctant and sometimes confrontation. While setting limits, she managed to respond consistently with respect and compassion. Your decision to choose a therapist is an important one and I personally congratulate you on this venture; so your decision to choose a compassionate and skilled therapist is ideally suited to Michele's talents. She will be serving you with the qualities of a natural therapist: genuineness, warmth, compassion, and integrity. Just as importantly, she would come with an enthusiasm for both learning about you and working with you. I urge you to carefully consider Michele Purvin, who is quite simply, the most remarkable therapist, I have ever met.
