You would like to live an authentic and fulfilling life, but stress and anxiety keep you stuck. You just need someone to listen to you and provide a different perspective. The "twenty-somethings" are sometimes referred to as “the best years of your life.” But you feel uncertain, lonely, and overwhelmed. If this sounds like you, send me a text. Let's talk.
My goal is to give you a personalized quality of care by spending time getting to know you first. After all, you are unique! We will work together to find solutions by gently untangling your thoughts and feelings with a compassionate, safe approach. You will become aware of your thoughts and feelings and how to look at those problems in different way.
I get it. It's not easy putting your needs first. Investing in quality therapy is a major commitment to yourself, your time and money. This is a major decision and you may have many questions and concerns. That’s why I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if I am a good fit for your needs. Just text or email me to schedule a time to talk.

Surviving the Holidays - Grief Support Group

It’s the holiday season again, and for many people that means a joyous time. However, for those experiencing a loss, October through December can be excruciatingly painful months. Grief reactions can be stronger around significant dates, like the anniversary of the person’s death, birthdays, and holidays. This is the time when the support of others may be the most helpful. We will explore a weekly topic for 6 weeks. This is a closed group, open to 8 participants and meets online.

Professional Connections

I have personally and professionally known Michele Purvin for over 10 years. We worked together at Alcohol and Addiction treatment center serving adolescents and their families. I hope my perspective will be helpful to you as you evaluate this exceptional Psychotherapist. During our time together, I have observed and families have reported having a compassionate and empathic therapeutic relationships with Michele that have allowed them to make tremendous progress towards healing. Most of the families come from a variety of backgrounds, there were often in conflict, occasionally reluctant and sometimes confrontation. While setting limits, she managed to respond consistently with respect and compassion. Your decision to choose a therapist is an important one and I personally congratulate you on this venture; so your decision to choose a compassionate and skilled therapist is ideally suited to Michele's talents. She will be serving you with the qualities of a natural therapist: genuineness, warmth, compassion, and integrity. Just as importantly, she would come with an enthusiasm for both learning about you and working with you. I urge you to carefully consider Michele Purvin, who is quite simply, the most remarkable therapist, I have ever met.
