With over 28 yrs. of experience with my Masters in Social Work, I have helped people through difficult times and life transitions. This includes but is not limited too, making a decision about ending a relationship, death of a loved on, changing jobs, struggles with peer relationships and moving. Additionally, anxiety, panic and stress are frequent reasons someone may be seen. I also treat trauma and use a trauma informed approach throughout treatment. It is important for me to have clients feel heard and see there is a path forward. Often goals include building new coping skills and new patterns of positive choices.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR. I am also a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCTP), as well as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). I have worked in the Mental Health field and the Addiction field and will draw on knowledge from both to provide support and guidance.
I am eclectic in my approach to treatment. Once we have explored your goals, I will use skills from different approaches to help you reach those goals. I will provide you a safe, judgment free place to be heard, while creating a plan for a successful path forward.
