Hello! I’m Dr. Michele Day and I am a clinical social worker. My specialty areas are personal growth, family therapy, and older adults. I have provided help for people in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Currently, my clients most often have experienced depression, relationship issues, or have faced difficult circumstances. Client-Centered theories are relevant to therapy that is strength-based. I work with the strengths of clients and explore the environment in which clients have lived. Particularly if you are new to therapy these approaches will make sense to you.
I enjoy working with clients of any age (except young children as I am not as prepared to work with littles). My current environment is rural, and it makes me happy to provide services online so that people can access therapy much more easily. Online therapy also helps with some of the confidentiality issues of rural living and mental health services.
I have always wanted to be a therapist. I have had people in my personal life with various mental health issues. Professionally, I have several years of experience with a great variety of concerns. I chose a route through social work because of my deeply held beliefs around social justice.
