Hi, and thank you for checking out my profile. When we meet for the first time, I want you to have an opportunity to be heard. I want to hear your story so that I can learn who you are. Later, our time together will be spent in a give-and-take dynamic. I'll still be listening a lot, but I'll also give feedback. I want you to heal and thrive.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help you identify irrational thoughts and replace them with rational thoughts to improve your sense of well-being. I use person-centered therapy to help guide you to self-discovery which encourages as much healing as possible. I use strength-based therapy to help you utilize strengths you may have forgotten you have.
I am a Christian counselor and I have been in practice since 1991. I work with adults in individual or couples therapy. I'll see you in a comfortable home setting where you'll have an opportunity to meet my "therapy" dog, Caramel, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I hope to hear from you soon.
