Hello and thank you for clicking on my profile. My name is Michael Wood and I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. If you are seeking improved relationships with your self and others, greater happiness in life and work as well as tools and a pathway to overcome self defeating behavior or addictions, I have success and extensive experience helping clients of all ages. A client centered approach comes natural to me. I meet clients where 'they are' and provide a safe, trusting warm environment that facilitates good working relationships.
I believe we heal in relationship with others and I find it is valuable to like our therapist. Additionally I utilize CBT interventions as well as psychodynamic, solution focused and positive psychology. Clients tell me my ability to provided them with tools, strategies and pathways sets me apart from other therapists.
I am an enthusiast and have a relaxed demeanor that makes me a good listener. My personal evolution has brought forth emotional intelligence that connects me well with females and helps male clients find new understanding and communication with women.
