I have experience working with adults possessing a variety of perspectives, personalities, and life situations. As a result, I have developed a great appreciation for the human experience. I enjoy working with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, and the lingering effects of trauma. I have special interest in teaching assertive communication and in helping people with social anxiety.
I am person-centered in my approach. I mostly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic exploration to facilitate change. I am also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based treatment for trauma and depression, which has also shown to help with panic and anxiety, distressing behaviors, and relationship conflict.
I believe that at your core, you already have some of the answers to your own questions. I also believe that sometimes you need a nudge in the right direction. I want to help you realize your strengths and resilience, unlearn destructive self-talk, accept your limitations, take action despite uncertainty, and become a more confident and complete person.
