About
After receiving my Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, I worked as a psychologist at a variety of settings in Maryland, New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. Prior to coming to Summit, I spent twenty years in charge of psychological services at Morristown Medical Center's Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute. In addition to having over thirty years of clinical experience, I have been an adjunct assistant professor at New York University, and have taught at the Washington School of Psychiatry in Washington, DC.
I am interested in doing individual psychotherapy with adults. I see psychotherapy as an opportunity to study your life. Treatment provides a time and place to look honestly at your life - where you have been, where you are now, and what it is that you would like to accomplish in the future.
One of the purposes of treatment is to identify repetitive problems that are keeping a person "stuck," and then to develop strategies to overcome the obstacles created by these difficulties.
