I love counseling – both giving and receiving. For over 40 years, I have helped adoptive families utilizing my counseling and law degrees.
The counseling aspect spans a wide range of populations, including tweens, seniors, singles, couples, and multiple family members. Specializing in anxiety, depression, OCD and grief for all family members including pet grief for owners.
I met my wife at graduate school while working on my Master’s in Social Work, and we adopted three children. A little-known fact about me is I was given the Zumba Unsung Hero Award for my work with orphanages around the world.
I use CBT as a foundation, but my approach is always centered on the individual in front of me. I tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs, with a focus on creating support that feels personal, practical, and meaningful.
In our first session, we’ll start with an intake conversation so we can get to know each other, discuss your goals, and explore what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. I’ll also walk you through what to expect moving forward, and we may end with some reflection or homework to support your progress before our next session.
