"Mental Health Sherpa." I use that personal metaphor because I serve as a guide and help people navigate the tough mountainous parts of their life journey. In addition to treating many of the common mental health issues such as grief, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and toxic relationships, I employ ACT, Schema Therapy, and attachment-based therapies to help people heal from Family of Origin wounds (abandonment, mistrust, defectiveness, shame, perfectionism, enmeshment and boundary issues, emotional deprivation, social undesirability, approval-seeking, etc.).
I specialize in grief and loss (both death and non-death). I have a post-grad certification in Death & Grief Studies under the direction of renowned grief expert, Dr. Alan Wolfelt, at the Center for Loss in Ft. Collins, CO. Additionally, I'm experienced in addressing "church PTSD" and spiritual abuse.
My life experience and personal pain has made me a compassionate and empathetic counselor. Additionally, I really using enjoy appropriate humor in therapy!
